Figures, drawings and photos are numbered with a running number, e.g. Figure 1. The caption text ends in a full stop and it is placed under the figure. The figures are separated with a blank line before and after from the text.
Make sure that you make reference to figures in the text, for example "The line chart in Figure 1 illustrates a sharp decline in both international and domestic travel during the early months of 2020."

Tables are separated with a blank line before and after the table, e.g. Table 1. The caption of a table ends in a full stop and it is written above the table.
Make sure that you make reference to tables in the text, for example "Table 1 shows that the overall results for 1990–1999 are very similar to those for 1980–1989, although particular industries sometimes vary substantially, as one might expect."

Formulas are numbered with a running number. The number of the formula is written inside brackets on the right edge of the text and the beginning of the formula is placed so that all formulas begin at the same spot. An example:
